Identify your pollen parents easily when hybridizing daylilies. Using different colored wires that have assigned pollen parents, you can place these 3-1/2" wires around the stem just behind the flower after pollinating.

There are 1,250 wires in total, consisting of 25 different colors of 50 wires per color. The wires may be from Set 1 or Set 2. If you have a preference, please email me.

The colors in Set 1 are: Blue, Yellow, Gray, Brown, White/Blue Dash, Blue/White Dash, White/Gray Dash, Gray/White Dash, White/Green Dash, Green/White Dash, Yellow/Gray Dash, Gray/Yellow Dash, Yellow/Blue Dash, Blue/Yellow Dash, Yellow/Brown Dash, Brown/Yellow Dash, Purple/Brown Dash, Brown/Purple Dash, Brown/Black Dash, Green/Red Dash, Red/Green Dash, Gray/Black Dash, Black/Gray Dash, Gray/Purple Dash, and Purple/Gray Dash. 

Each ziplock bag of 50 wires is labeled with the wire color and has a space to write down the Pollen Parent. Also included are two sheets of Pollen Parent/Wire Color forms so that you can record the pollen parents for all the wire color combinations, and a blank form for any combinations you might make.

If you need more than 25 different wire color combinations, you can twist two wires together, or bend over one end of a wire, 1/4" or so.
