This set of five tweezers and
forceps is ideal for small flowers, particularly
daylily diploids with the smaller flower parts. The
set includes: --Two (2),
4-1/2" reverse action tweezers with straight
ends. -- Two (2), 5"
mosquito forceps with curved ends.
--One (1), 5"
mosquito forceps with straight end.
The 4-1/2"
stainless steel reverse action tweezers with a
straight, pointed end are ideal instruments for
holding the pollen-laden anthers when pollinating. Press to open
and release to close. They stay closed until you open
them. If you use common
tweezers, there is always the danger of accidentally
releasing the pressure and losing the anther. The
extra fine point on these tweezers covers only a very
small portion of the anthers. This allows for the
availability of more pollen. See photo below. The
point of this tweezers is sharp, so be careful in
using them and keep away from children.
The 5"
clasping forceps with curved and straight ends are
great for removing the stamens holding the anthers.
Just press shut and they will stay shut. They can also
be used to holding filaments with the anther attached
while pollinating. The points are a little too large
to hold just the anthers. They will cover up too much
pollen.These
tweezers and forceps are stainless steel with a satin (brushed)
finish. Made in Pakistan out of German stainless
steel. Payment
